ERV has moved

Thanks to Mark (and I mean really, thanks to Mark, this wasnt a generalized Blogger glitch, this was Blogger BS), endogenousretrovirus.blogspot.com is back up.

But Im moving to ScienceBlogs!

And backing up all of my old posts tonight instead of studying.

Spiderzilla is a good Firefox extension for mirroring sites.

Huh, we both closed Blogger blogs on the same day...

What took Science Blogs so long? I am surprised they did not pick you up months ago.

Glad you're getting everything backed up.

Whew! Glad you now are able to B/U your posts, and that Google apparently didn't dump you on purpose.

Halfmooner, she didn't say that. Indeed, it looks like Abbie is being deliberately vague about what caused this. Possibly deciding how to respond to whatever happened.

How are you backing up? We need to do the same...

nunatak-- Ive been clicking on my 'month' tabs on the right (like April, or whatever) and then going to 'File' 'Save Page As', and 'Web Page Complete'. Just made a folder for blog backups in My Documents.

Others-- Mark went out on a limb for me and I dont want to cause any trouble for him. But what happened to me has not been resolved to my satisfaction, and Bloggers 'explanation' for their behavior makes no sense whatsoever. Hell, no one from Blogger has told *me* jack, and what they told Mark is logically inconsistent. Cant keep their stories straight, and the evidence is against them, like other people we know. Might investigate it further, might just say 'Fuck it' and move on.

Heck, I've never gotten a response from Blogger support that I could unequivocally attribute to a human being, and I've mapped several looping chains of serially useless and uncomprehending replies that go back to the original cut and paste response after four or five steps, just trying to use their support for ordinary stuff.

They've mapped voicemail hell onto email support perfectly, I think.
